Types of Records and Scoring System

A. Backbend

Requirement: backbend in hand-stand position

Measurement: the distance in inches between the collar bones to the upper surface of the thighs. The smaller the distance, the better

B. Splits

Requirement: front split with torso facing front, and keeping knees upright without turning legs

Measurement: the angle in degrees between the legs. Measure the angle twice: one time with left leg in front, the other with right left in front. Take the sum value of the two measurements. The bigger the angles, the better.

C. Upper-back folding

Requirement: fold the back at the upper back, with lower back touching shoulders, keeping neck straight.

Measurement: The distance in inches from the tail bone to the ear. The shorter the distance, the better.

D. Head-sit

Requirement: suspend the body with the support of a mouse piece, with the butt sitting on the head.

Measurement: The distance in inches from the tail bone to the tip of nose. The shorter the distance, the better.

E. Front bend

Requirement: in a front bend position, pull the left foot under the right arm, and the right foot under the left arm.

Measurement: The distance in inches from the tail bone to the collar bones. The shorter the distance, the better

F. Shoulders

Requirement: cross fingers of the hands, turn palms outward, and extend the arms backward while keeping them straight.

Measurement: The angle from the arms to the torso. The bigger the angle, the better.

G. Fingers

Requirement: bend fingers backward so that the finger tip touches the back of the hand.

Measurement: The number of fingers on both hands that can touch the back of the hand with finger tips.

Judging process

This contest is financed and organized by TotalToning.com. Third party judge(s) are invited to judge the poses of contests based on the rules and measurments stated above. The judging process will be open, fair, professional, and acceptable by the general public. In case the judge(s)'s ruling is incorrect or inaccurate, the contestant has the right of one time appeal to TotalToning.com.

Registration

The contest will be held in Vancouver, Canada. You can attend the contest either in person, or by sending supporting materials.

If you would like to send in supporting materials, please

  1. Fill out the registration form and sign it.
  2. Provide a video tape that can clearly demonstrate the process of getting into the pose, holding the pose for at least 5 seconds, and getting out of the pose.
  3. Provide photos of your poses. The photos must clearly identify you as the contestant, and demonstrate the body poses from different angles.
  4. Please mail your registration form, video tape and photos to
